The mission of Crestview School, in partnership with the Vandenberg Air Force Base community and Lompoc Unified School District, is to provide a positive learning environment which encourages the development of the whole child. We believe every child comes into the world with gifts waiting to be discovered and nourished. It is our goal, as both parents and educators, to help each child find and develop these gifts. In doing so, the children will come to appreciate and value themselves, others, and the world in which we live. Crestview Elementary School is located on a 15.3 acre site located on Vandenberg Air Force Base. Vandenberg is near Lompoc which is located 150 miles northwest of Los Angeles in Santa Barbara County. Crestview serves approximately 700 students since its merger with Los Padres. Most of the students live inside the main gate of Vandenberg Air Force Base and have parents who are service members or work as civilians on or off the base. The school averages 10-15 English Language Learners with a variety of primary languages ranging from Japanese to Spanish.

Crestview Elementary School was built in 1960, and is one of ten elementary schools in the Lompoc Unified School District. Crestview is currently merging with Los Padres an Elementary School located on Vandenberg's East Housing. The merger will be complete in the Fall of 2008. |
